External Domain Support for PDF viewer for WordPress

Hi Everyone, I hope all of you are doing well.  Today I will tell you how you can add support for External Domains to PDF viewer for WordPress. It means You can open pdf files from your Amazon s3, Dropbox or any other service.

I assume you’ve already checked our Plugin “PDF Viewer For WordPress”.  If not, please check the plugin now as this post is to show you how you can add support for External Domains on PDF viewer for WordPress.

 

Many of our customers wanted to know if there is a solution for adding external domain support to show pdf files from any site.

There is a Cross Domain scripting issue, for why viewers can’t open pdf files from external Links. But if you need to show pdf from other sites, you can use this trick. Let’s know how to add support for External Domains on PDF viewer for WordPress.

Step 1:

Download the crossdomain.xml file from here

Step 2: 

Upload this file to the root of your server. Normally its called public_html or httpdocs or HTML 

Step 3:

Now you have added support for external domains. Put any pdf link to the viewer shortcode & it will work fine.
